What Does VIP Mean in a Vegas Strip Club

Dr. Strip Club takes you behind the curtain to the Vegas Strip Club VIP

The phrase VIP is synonymous with strip clubs around the world and even more so with Las Vegas strip clubs. But exactly what does VIP mean in a Las Vegas strip club?  Do you have to be a celebrity or Very Important Person or spend thousands of dollars to have a VIP experience.  After more than 30 years living and working in Las Vegas and visiting over 1,000 strip clubs around the world including every strip club open in Vegas during that time I’ve got the answers to all your questions about Vegas Strip Club VIP and here it is.  If you feel I left something out or have a question, you can comment below or use the contact us form if you’d rather make your comments or ask your questions in private.  Either way, I will respond and answer your question.

In most strip clubs around the world, the phrase VIP means 1-on-1 time with an erotic dancer in a separate more private area off the main floor and stage area.  It means that in Vegas too, but there are a few differences.  First, in Vegas touching is allowed.  In many places it is against the law for a customer to physically touch the stripper–especially her breasts or ass.  In those places, customers spend money on VIP in hopes there isn’t a bouncer watching and telling them to sit on their hands.  In Vegas, lap dances even on the main floor of the club are high contact and hands on, within reasonable limitations.  Dancers and clubs in Vegas offer VIP rooms to making more money. Customers purchase VIP time in hopes of even more contact.

In Vegas there are 2 types of VIP rooms…

Semi Private VIP

These rooms are not fully private.  There will be other customers and dancers in the same area, they may or may not be able to see your dances and activities. These rooms are often a series of booths or small couches and depending on the club may or may not be separated by a curtain; usually the curtains are see-through.  These rooms are very dark and dancers often refer to them as the “cave rooms”.

Action in Semi-Private VIP rooms in Vegas starts at 3 songs for $100 in most clubs.  There are options for 15 minutes, half-hour and hour sessions as well.  Most clubs also add a drink minimum on top of the VIP room cost. The dancer gets most of the money you pay for the VIP room with the club keeping a small chunk.  The club makes their money on drinks.  For more info on how Vegas Strip Clubs work read this informative article.  For exact pricing on any club’s VIP rooms, see my review of that club in our Vegas Strip Club Reviews.

Fully Private VIP Rooms

Most Vegas strip clubs have fully private VIP rooms.  These range from $400 an hour to as much as $10,000 for Larry Flynt’s personal suite at Hustler Las Vegas or a Sky Box at Sapphire.  Most also add a drink minimum or bottle purchase requirement.  These are sometimes referred to as Champagne rooms.  You don’t have to be rich to enjoy a fully private Las Vegas VIP experience, but they aren’t cheap.

My reviews of Las Vegas strip clubs tell you the exact cost and requirements of each club’s VIP rooms and which ones I think provide the most value.  I update these weekly because things change often.

SEX IN THE VIP?

It happens.  It is illegal.  Yes prostitution is legal in Nevada, but not in Clark County which is where Las Vegas is located.  You are an adult, so you can do what you want.  A few pieces of advice:  First, don’t let a dancer suck large amounts of cash from you in hopes of having sex.   (See my post on how to negotiate with a Vegas Stripper). Second, the VIP rooms in Vegas strip clubs are required by law to have surveillance cameras in them and the vice squad can walk into the club at any time and demand to see those tapes. (In my experience, most clubs seem to have at least one room that is not working “today” and some dancers always seem to know exactly which room that is.) Third, if you ignore my advice above and blow a huge amount of money who is going to listen to your complaint? You were trying to engage in illegal activity?  And in the worst case, if you get arrested…I did warn you.
