We No Longer Recommend Hustler Las Vegas

Sadly, we no longer recommend Hustler Las Vegas.  Larry Flynt’s Erotic Ultra Lounge, AKA Hustler Las Vegas, was at one time, one of the best strip clubs around.  There has been a slow and steady decline over the past year. Here’s a few reasons we say that.

Your Prescription for Vegas Best Strip ClubsFirst, the Service Level is Awful At Hustler

On a recent Saturday, night we were in Hustler Las Vegas.  I counted just over 425 customers.  They had 8 floor managers/bounces/hosts–Suits on duty but only 2 cocktail servers and one bartender.  This is ridiculous and also stupid from a business sense.  Ridiculous for the customer because the cocktail server only made it to our table twice in 2.5 hours.  When you can’t get a drink in a bar, why go there?  Can’t buy a drink for a dancer. Can’t enjoy the show.

Something is Missing at Hustler Las Vegas

It’s foolish for the club from a business standpoint.  Bar and Nightclub Guru, Jon Taffer says the average customer buys 2 drinks the first hour and 1.5 per hour after that.  Because the club was overstaffed with suits and understaffed with bartenders and cocktail waitresses, I only got one drink in 2.5 hours.  There were 3 men with me.  So the club sold 4 drinks to a group to which they should have sold 12-16 drinks.  Hustler Las Vegas lost the revenue of 8-12 drinks at $17-$22 a cocktail…over $136…and that’s just from one table in 2.5 hours. Multiply by 75 or more tables and the opportunity and income loss is huge. I expect they will make big management changes in the near future or become entirely unprofitable.  I know from club ownership that the club has to make $11 million a year net of promotions just to keep the doors open.  Strip Clubs are glorified bars and have to make money on alcohol sales. Come on Harry and Jason–make some changes.  I’m rooting for you.

And this isn’t just a one time thing where they had staff show up late or something like that.  The service level has been very inadequate on my last 5 visits to Hustler Las Vegas. When you can’t properly staff a bar, you shouldn’t be managing one. 7 hosts running around asking me how I’m doing when I can’t get a drink, is just silly.

THE DANCER QUALITY IS DOWN

The Las Vegas Hustler Club once had some of the best looking dancers in town.  They still have some very beautiful ladies, but the overall quality is down to about a 7.5…not good enough for Vegas.  And the number of dancers has also declined.  I’m sure this is related to the service issue, but fewer and less attractive dancers means I recommend other clubs.

CONSTANT EMPLOYEE TURNOVER

You can’t make this up…but it’s a fact. On each of my last 5 visits to Hustler, I’ve had a cocktail server tell me it was her first night or first week.  They have constant turn over.  I understand why…customers are angry because they can’t get a drink and thus they don’t tip.  So the cocktail servers don’t make any money and have to deal with angry customers.  They quit.  Again this is a management problem.

I will continue to visit Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club Las Vegas and update my review for you. If and when things improve, I will remove this blog post and update my review.  Until then, please let us send you to a club where you will be happy and have a good experience.
